Recently Completed: Route 360 and Route 662 (Sharon Road) Park & Ride Commuter Lot
(New!) The Sharon Road Park & Ride lot reopened for use on Monday, Oct. 25, 2021.
This project improved the existing commuter parking at the intersection of Route 360 and Route 662 (Sharon Road) in King William County.
The existing gravel lot was re-graded, and new pavement, curb and gutter, and signs were added. New lighting will be installed within the next several months, by winter 2022.
The improved lot has a total of 21 spaces for passenger vehicles, and two of these spaces are accessible parking. Additionally, there are 10 spaces for motorcycle parking, and a bicycle rack.
The lot closed temporarily on September 1, 2021, but reopened for use in late October to serve Park & Ride lot users as soon as possible, while waiting for the lighting equipment to be installed.
This project is being funded through Virginia's SMART SCALE program.
